Maybe, from birth, was born within as a strong, brave, determined female,  fighter for life. A character and traits who never give up any obstacles, trials and persecutions may encounter. Being alone in survival for life, it added much in mind and heart to be a strong woman. Growing up in a poor family is a heartbreaking one. Poor but with many siblings. Education is so hard to be given equally among a number of seven or ten. Food had to divided among each including parents of course. Each with one small fried fish or cooked in vinegar with spices to have a gentle soup for rice. Rice coffee, “kamote” a root crop, or bread for breakfast. Not everybody has work. The father a mere regular hired carpenter, guard at night in a government department. The mother, cooked some food to sell, wash clothes for added income. Hearing and reading stories about couples who had shared their life for 50, 70 even up to 80 years gives me a so much joyful feeling. Today’s generation, seldom we can hear couples truly in love. Early separation are common either for celebrities, politicians, elite people even for lowly people and teens early marriages. Physical attraction are almost the basis of their being together and says in love. Or the financial security perhaps that a woman needs. Avoiding family problems is another reason, arranged marriages brought by culture beliefs or force marriages by either side. Age gap can be another factor when a woman is much older than the man or the other way around. The man is much older than the woman and can’t give the sexual satisfaction of woman. When a woman lost her figure, beauty because she forgot to take care of self in favor of responsibilities of a mother. The fulfillment dream of almost every woman is to have children. Either along with a husband, if lucky to have. But there are so many who are unlucky finding one to love them truly. Some were happily wed and been together till end. But for some, separated and remarried or remain alone with their children. Modern phase of times quickly brought many changes in life too. From home appliances, communications, medical equipment, offices equipment or transportation and many more. Rare we see people reacts a compassionate heart towards other needs, help, compassion. Yes there are still doing it, but we can count on. Time changes so fast, so as time enter a modern world of time, people characters changed a lot too. As I walk along a busy sidewalk in a downtown somewhere here in the city, I observed many things. People’s attitudes, so busy, in a hurry, not minding a glimpse to poor beggars begging for a penny. Others just silently waiting for somebody to throw a coin on that small can in front of them. Me, I know how to sense a true person in need. Almost 50 plus years of encountering different aspects of people. Here in the Philippines, the population rises now up to 1,000,000 as was reported the previous day. Still growing up in numbers since everyday birth is recorded. How much more about in other countries such as China, U.S., Indonesia and other Asian countries and Latin America. They are among the countries having a large population counts.
